Chouly is currently pursuing a bachelor's of Contemporary International Studies at IPU New Zealand. Growing up in Banteay Meanchey province, there were not many opportunities to make an impact in her communities, so with a burning passion for social issues, Chouly founded Social Issues' Solutions Club at 14 years old to create a collaborative space for high school student around the city to come together and help solve the problem in the community. With support from the cofounders and the community, her passion project became a reality and has shaped the view of youth and social impact contribution in her community.

Through her Social Issues' Solutions Club initiative, Chouly was the youngest chosen among the Top 10 Smart Good Citizen Awards in 2021 alongside other 9 amazing people who have contributed greatly toward society including Sai from Run with Sai and Hao Taing from Local4Local. She won the Rise Challenge, an initiative of Schmidt Futures and the Rhodes Trust, and was named as one of the 100 most promising teens in the world by Forbes magazine in 2021. She believes that with the right amount of curiosity, creativity, and courage to take action, I can achieve the set clear goals and vision to greatly impact our community.
